Blake Monroe made a triumphant in-ring debut on WWE SmackDown this past Friday. Following the show, The Glamour revealed that her grandfather had passed away.
The Glamour is embroiled in a heated rivalry with Giulia since joining the WWE main roster. After weeks of brawls and exchanging insults on the microphone, the duo finally locked horns in the ring on the latest episode of SmackDown.

In the climax of the match, The Beautiful Madness smashed her head into the ring post, leading to her abrupt loss. Monroe and the Japanese star engaged in a backstage altercation after the showdown, meaning their feud is far from over.
In a recent Instagram post, The Glamour reflected on her first-ever televised match on WWE SmackDown and her journey in the pro wrestling business. Monroe also revealed that her grandfather, unfortunately, passed away a few weeks before her in-ring debut on the main roster.
“Now here we are, my SmackDown debut. I know you waited 5 months… I waited 9 years, and pretty much my whole life for this moment! But sadly, a few weeks before my debut, my lovely grandad passed away. I didn’t get to say goodbye. It was heavy in my heart. I didn’t tell anyone, I didn’t cancel anything. I just tried to push on as normal because I didn’t know how to handle the grief. I sat in the salon the next day getting my hair done for TV, trying to hold in tears, when my hairdresser found a feather in my hair. I truly have no idea how it got there. But I felt like it was my grandad saying hello.”
The Glamour further revealed the origin and significance of her brand new entrance on WWE SmackDown. She dedicated her debut match on the main roster to her late grandparents.
“My new beautiful feathered fan entrance on SmackDown might seem like a burlesque and Great Gatsby dream, but it’s also so much more. Last night, I felt like my grandparents, who are together again now, were holding my hands for one of the biggest moments in my life. In a country where I am all alone, following such crazy dreams..it’s easy to feel lonely and scared, but last night I had never felt so strong. They were with me in those wonderful feather fans. Thank you for supporting me in my dreams. Last night was for you. I love you and miss you so deeply🕊️💖.”

Giulia had an injury scare during her match against Blake Monroe on WWE SmackDown
As mentioned above, Giulia seemingly hurt her head in the final stages of her match against Blake Monroe on WWE SmackDown. The Glamour wasted no time and pinned The Beautiful Madness to emerge victorious in her debut bout on the main roster. After the contest, doctors rushed to the ring to check on the former Women’s United States Champion.
Given the match’s abrupt finish, many fans felt Giulia legitimately suffered an injury on WWE SmackDown. Recently, in an Instagram post, The Beautiful Madness provided an update on her status and suggested that she was fine.
