Joe Mixon hasn’t taken a snap in an NFL game since January 18, 2025, when he rushed for 88 yards and a touchdown in the postseason.
Injuries caused him to miss the entire 2025 season, and it was unclear whether he’d ever play another down in the NFL. Now, Mixon may have a chance to rejuvenate his career with a Super Bowl-contending team.
Joe Mixon is reportedly headed to Seattle
According to NFL insider Jordan Schultz, Mixon is expected to sign with the reigning Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks. Mixon visited with Seattle on Sunday, had a workout on Monday and impressed enough for the Seahawks to take a chance and bring him in.
Additionally, ESPN’s NFL insider Adam Schefter reported that Mixon is expected to sign with Seattle’s practice squad once he completes his medical exams.
