Brazil 2-0 Serbia: Richarlison scores brace as Tite’s side show why they are World Cup favourites

Tottenham Hotspur’s Richarlison netted a second half brace to help Brazil get the better of Serbia in their first group game of the 2022 World Cup.

Serbia finished ahead of Portugal in their World Cup qualifying group so they were tough opponents for Brazil in their first game in Qatar.

The European outfit stood firm and restricted Brazil to very few chances during the opening half.

But Brazil gradually wore Serbia down as the game wore on and the tournament favourites turned on the style in the second half.

Richarlison opened the scoring for Brazil as he reacted quickest after Vinicius Junior’s initial shot was saved.

The forward doubled Brazil’s lead with around 15 minutes to go. He touched the ball up in the air before he found the net with a sublime bicycle kick.
