WATCH: When David Warner touched Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s feet in Hyderabad

Delhi Capitals (DC) secured their second consecutive victory in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 after registering a triumph over Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Monday.

DC skipper David Warner was jumping in joy after the win as he was clearly happy with the Capitals returning to the winning ways. The contest was a special one for Warner as he was up against his old franchise.

No wonder the Aussie star was happy and excited from the beginning, and it was evident when Warner met his former SRH teammate Bhuvneshwar Kumar ahead of the thrilling game.

In a clip shared by the official handle of IPL, which is getting viral on the internet, Warner can be spotted coming up with a heartwarming gesture while meeting Bhuvneshwar. Upon seeing Bhuvi, the DC captain rushed over and touched Bhuvneshwar’s feat. The duo then shared a warm hug and shook hands, and the whole act of Warner caused DC fast bowler Ishant Sharma to burst into laughter.

    Here is the video:

Notably, the Sunrisers signed both Warner and Bhuvneshwar in 2014, and the duo shared the change room from 2014 to 2021. The Aussie opener took on the role of captain for SRH in 2015 and remained in that position until 2021. Bhuvneshwar played an important role in SRH’s IPL 2016 championship victory and served as Warner’s deputy for a significant period of time. Additionally, he led the team in Warner’s absence.

During IPL 2021, Warner’s second stint as the captain of SRH came to a controversial end as he was dismissed from the position and left out of the playing XI. He later returned to the playing XI during the season’s second phase but was only given two games before being dropped once again.
