IND vs SL: Suryakumar Yadav Should Play His Natural Game Even In ODIs – S Sreesanth

Former India pacer S Sreesanth has requested Suryakumar Yadav to play his natural game even in ODI format. His advice comes after Suryakumar Yadav failed to crush in ODIs one more time in the recent match against Bangladesh in Asia Cup 2023.

Suryakumar Yadav got out for 26 runs off 34 balls in the match hitting 3 boundaries. While he has performed wonderfully in the shortest format, he has not been able to crack the code in ODI cricket.

Suryakumar Yadav Should Increase His Time In The Nets

During a conversation with Sportskeeda, former right-arm pacer S Sreesanth said that Surykumar Yadav should increase his time in the nets.

“He can probably increase his time in the nets as well. Sachin Paaji used to bat 1-2 hours in the nets. It would just help SKY’s muscle memory in staying longer at the crease”, Sreesanth said.

I Would Request Surykumar Yadav To Play His Natural Game In ODI Cricket

Sreesanth, who represented Team India in 90 international games, also advised Suryakumar Yadav to play his natural game even in ODIs.

“I am confident he will come good and play a massive role for India in the World Cup. I would request SKY to play his natural game even in ODI cricket. If your instincts back you to play explosive shots, then do it,” the 40-year-old said.

Suryakumar Yadav is also part of Team India in ICC World Cup 2023. However, he has not managed to impress with the bat in the 50-over format. After Shreyas Iyer got injured in March 2023 during the IND vs AUS ODI series, Yadav replaced him in the squad.

In all his three games against Australia, the right-handed batsman got out for a duck to register an unwanted record. Later, he also played ODI matches against West Indies but could not come up with a good knock. However, Yadav has always set the stage on fire in T20Is.
