Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello finalize their divorce on good terms

Seven months after Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello announced their separation, the couple amicably ended their divorce proceedings this Friday, honoring the agreements set forth in their prenuptial agreement, which allowed each to keep the assets they individually accumulated during their seven-year union.

According to Page Six, the couple had agreed to waive spousal support, plus there was no child support process, as they never had children, which allowed the couple to expedite the divorce process.

“My marriage ended because my husband was younger, he wanted to have children and I didn’t want to be an old mom. I feel it’s not fair to the baby. I respect whoever does it, but that’s not for me anymore. I already had a son at 19, who is now 32, and I’m ready to be a grandmother, not a mother,” revealed the 51-year-old Colombian actress to the Spanish newspaper. There she explained that the issue of children ended up becoming a point of contention in the relationship.

And she added: “So, if love comes, it has to come with children. I’m almost at menopause, it’s a natural law of life. When my son becomes a father, let him bring me the baby for a while and then I’ll give it back to him and go on with my life, that’s what I have to do.”

When did Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello split?

The couple announced their separation in July last year just before the actor officially filed for divorce, arguing irreconcilable differences after 7 years of marriage and currently both are in a process to rebuild their lives. TMZ revealed that the actor is dating Caitlin O’Connor and Sofia is dating Dr. Justin Saliman.

In addition, the Colombian said in an interview for ‘Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen’ that the new rule she has to accept a date is that the interested party must be at least 50 years old: “They can’t be less than 50 years old. I’m 51. Let’s not get crazy.”

For his part, Justin Saliman already had a past relationship with actress Bree Turner, with whom he has two children in common. After 10 years of marriage, the surgeon and the interpreter decided to end their relationship, so it meets the requirements set by the actress.
