Women’s Soccer Announces Signing of Defender Lindsey Zaremskas – University of North Florida Athletics

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – North Florida women’s soccer and head coach Eric Faulconer announce the addition of defender Lindsey Zaremskas. The Orlando product out of Lake Mary High School and Orlando City ECNL will join the Ospreys as a freshman this fall. She is the fourth Orlando City ECNL signee and fifth player from the Orlando area in the 2024 freshmen class.

Zaremskas captained and was a starter for both her Orlando City ECNL club team and high school team at Lake Mary. She is a very athletic outside back that can keep up with the opponent’s quickest attacking players. She can read the game very well and is strong in the attack.

“Lindsey is a shutdown defender with explosive athleticism and movement. I believe she is the best outside back currently at Orlando City. Her ability to close space, win challenges and time tackles as well as create overloads in possession help define her as a leader, worker and winner.” – Robbie Gobble, Orlando City ECNL Director

“I have had the pleasure of knowing, watching, and coaching her on the soccer fields since she was 10 years old. Her growth and work rate on the field is top level. Her development in the game has progressed tremendously.  Her maturity on and off the field is the very best. A great teammate, person, and player.  Any college at the D1 level will be blessed to have her at their program!”- Craig Melton Orlando City ECNL Coach

“We are thrilled to have Lindsey join our program next fall. Unfortunately, she suffered an injury that kept her out for some time, but she has worked extremely hard to get back on the field. At her best, she is someone that plays at a very high level and is exactly what we are looking for from an outside back in our program.  She is very athletic and tenacious. She can shut down the opponent’s best attacking player. She is fit as well as explosive enough to get up and down the flank to create attacking opportunities. Most importantly she has a high level of maturity, work ethic and character. We are looking forward to Lindsey’s arrival in late July and to see her growth during her collegiate career.”- Eric Faulconer, Head Women’s Soccer Coach
