Caitlin Clark's boyfriend Connor McCaffery 'out of words' after record-breaking March Madness display

Caitlin Clark‘s boyfriend, Connor McCaffery is full of praise after the Iowa star’s big performance in the March Madness Elite Eight round.

The Iowa Hawkeyes booked their ticket to the Final Four with a win over the LSU Tigers, righting the wrong from last year. Clark played a big role, netting her 538th three-pointer of her college career, becoming the NCAA‘s all-time Division I record-holder.

Clark is hoping to check out of the college game with top prize, and Iowa will take on UConn in the Final Four, likely facing favorites South Carolina if they progress to the final.

In the meantime, Clark’s boyfriend, former Iowa men’s basketball player Connor McCaffery, has taken to social media to praise his partner. He wrote: “Out of words for this 1 @caitlinclark22.” The caption was written on an image of Clark taking a shot in a background of clouds.

McAfferey enjoyed a collegiate career of his own, but he did not make it to the NFL as a player. He now serves as a team assistant for the Indiana Pacers.

    Clark Iowa right the wrongs

Iowa defeated LSU to make up for last season’s 102-85 defeat to the Tigers at March Madness. Speaking after the game, Hawkeyes superstar Clark said: “It’s amazing to be back in the Final Four. It’s so hard to get there, especially with how loaded this region was. We told ourselves we’re the 1-seed for a reason. We’ve earned this. We deserve to be in these moments. We’re prepared for these moments.”

LSU coach Kim Mulkey said of Clark: “She’s just a generational player and she just makes everybody around her better. That’s what the great ones do.”
