Jitesh Sharma looked good during his brief stay at the crease in the match between Punjab Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad on Tuesday, April 9 in Mullanpur. However, he got out for 19 off 11 balls, as the Kings fell agonisingly short of the 183-run target by two runs.
The 30-year-old hit a six off all-rounder Nitish Reddy in the second ball of the 16th over. However, off the very next ball, Jitesh tried to hook an off-cutter that was bowled into the surface and could only find Abhishek Sharma at deep square leg, who took a well-judged catch.
After being dismissed, Jitesh sat on the ground and looked understandably crestfallen. As he was on his long walk back to the pavilion, the right-handed batter was seen screaming in frustration after failing to take his team home.
