MI vs SRH took place in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 on Thursday (17th April). The 33rd game of the cash-rich league between the teams took place at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, and it saw the home team win their second consecutive game of the season.
Asked to bat, Sunrisers Hyderabad had a decent start to their innings as Abhishek Sharma (40) and Travis Head (28) added 59 runs for the opening partnership. They struggled to score freely as the ball didn’t come nicely onto the bat.
After the opening stand, Sunrisers Hyderabad struggled to score with batters getting out after starts. They were left tottering at 113 for four, and it was then that Heinrich Klaasen (37) played a brilliant hand before Aniket Verma (18*) played a cameo to power Sunrisers Hyderabad to a total of 162 for five. For the Mumbai Indians, Will Jacks picked up two wickets.

Chasing the target, Rohit Sharma (26) took Mumbai Indians off to a flying start with his brutal sixes. He, along with Ryan Rickelton (31), added 32 runs for the first wicket. After that, Will Jacks (36) played a brilliant hand with the bat.
He, along with Suryakumar Yadav (26), added 52 runs for their wicket to take Mumbai Indians close to the target. In the end, Hardik Pandya (21) and Tilak Varma ( 21*) did the further carnage. Although Mumbai Indians lost quick wickets in the end but they chased the target with four wickets in hand.
