After years of being in the dark, college football fans have gotten bits and pieces of information about their beloved video game franchise in 2024. First came the trailer, then came the announcement of all FBS schools being in the game, then came the nearly confirmed release date of July 19.
EA Sports College Football 25 is set to take the sports video game industry by storm this summer. Fans know enough to get excited, but they went through the roof when the possible cover for the Deluxe Edition leaked on Friday.
Donovan Edwards, Quinn Ewers and Travis Hunter grace cover of EA Sports College Football 25
The PlayStation Store revealed the artwork of the game.
On the cover, we see a bevy of players and flags from different schools. In the middle is Michigan RB Donovan Edwards. To his left is Texas QB Quinn Ewers. And to his right is Colorado two-way star Travis Hunter.
It’s a big win for Deion Sanders and his Buffaloes program, although we’re sure he would’ve preferred that his son Shedeur have been there instead.
The video game’s creative team never shared the cover that circulated, and they didn’t exactly confirm whether it’s real, except for a GIF that can be interpreted in a few ways. Clearly, the cover wasn’t supposed to be announced yet.
It sounds like next week will have the official unveiling of the covers for the Standard and Deluxe Edition versions of the game. We’ll see who graces the main cover.
