In the 59th match of IPL 2024 held at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad, Gujarat Titans defeated Chennai Super Kings by thirty-five runs.
Asking to bat first, the Titans openers started the innings with a bang, Sai Sudharsan 103(51) and Shubman Gill 104(55) both played magnificent Innings which helped Titans to post a huge total. These two stitched a fantastic partnership of 210 off just 104 deliveries as a result Titans posted a huge total of 231. Speaking of the bowling of Super Kings, Tushar Deshpande (4-0-33-2) bowled beautifully which kept the target under 250. Shardul Thakur (4-0-25-0) was economical and bowled well but was unable to take the wickets. All the other bowlers were expensive.
In response, after the early top-order collapse, Daryl Mitchell 63(34) and Moeen Ali 56(36) both played magnificent Innings which kept Super Kings in the game. These two stitched a fantastic partnership of 109 off just 47 deliveries which kept Super Kings in the game for a while. But these two didn’t get support from other batters. Speaking of the bowling of the Titans, Mohit Sharma (4-0-31-3) bowled beautifully which helped the Titans to defend the target easily. Rashid Khan (4-0-38-3) and Umesh Yadav (3-0-20-1) bowled superbly and gave excellent support to Mohit Sharma.
