Virat Kohli showed his class once again in an all-important clash between the Punjab kings and the Royal Challengers of Bengaluru. Punjab Kings were beaten by Royal Challengers Bengaluru by a comprehensive margin of 60 runs and became the second team to get knocked out of the IPL.
The Punjab Kings paid the price for dropping Virat Kohli not once but twice, and the batter went on to score 92 out of just 47 deliveries.
Criticizing the fielding efforts of Punjab Kings former Indian opener Aaksh Chopra trolled the team for dropping Kohli and Rajat Patidar.
In his YouTube channel, Aakash Chopra said, “When Kohli started, it appeared as though the Punjab players had eaten a lot of buttery parathas and then neglected to wash their hands. Who misses so many opportunities? Everybody was missing catches—simple, simple catches. You drop the match if you miss too many catches, as the phrase goes.”
The opener further added, “If you give Virat Kohli one lifeline, he makes your bharta (mashes you) if you are a brinjal. If you give him two lifelines, you seldom live to tell the tale, and that’s what happened. The catches might have been slightly difficult, but the one at cover was a regulation catch.”
