They will select their favourite rookie from a class with more doubts than certainties, in which there is no prototype similar to Victor Wembanyama and with the obligation to get it right to wake up a franchise without ‘spice’ in recent seasons.
It can happen. The 2024 class is a strange class, without a dominant profile. The 2023 class had Wembanyama at the helm and that changed everything.
The 2025 class is shaping up to be Cooper Flagg‘s, the new paradigm of American basketball. 2024 is the valley. One gamble can work out, but none is the next hot guy. The Hawks might have another problem.
They are on a transcendent course. They fell into the Play-In and the rumours continue to focus on the continuity of their two stars, Trae Young and Dejounte Murray.The point guard spent many games injured and could enter the market to be the star of a contender.
The Lakers, parsley of all sauces, sounded strongly as a destination. And Murray has shown weakness if he has to lead alone. Either Atlanta makes the right move or they could go under.
