50 Cent and Aubrey O'Day see Diddy's apology video as fake and don't believe a word of it

Sean “Diddy” Combs‘ apology video has ignited widespread criticism from both fans and celebrities. On Sunday, the 54-year-old music icon posted a minute-long video addressing newly surfaced surveillance footage that shows him assaulting his then-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, in a hotel.

However, Combs did not specifically mention Ventura, who had filed a lawsuit against him in November 2023 for abuse, rape, and other allegations. The lawsuit was settled within 24 hours for an undisclosed amount.

Diddy posts apology video on Instagram: “I’m truly sorry”

“It’s so difficult to reflect on the darkest times in your life, but sometimes you got to do that,” Combs said.

    “I was f***ed up – I mean, I hit rock bottom – but I make no excuses.

“My behavior on that video is inexcusable. I take full responsibility for my actions in that video. I’m disgusted. I was disgusted then when I did it. I’m disgusted now.”

Blasted by O’Day and 50 Cent

Aubrey O’Day, a former member of Diddy‘s group Danity Kane and a vocal critic, was quick to condemn the video, pointing out that Combs failed to apologize directly to Ventura.

“Diddy did not apologize to Cassie,” O’Day wrote on X.

“He apologized to the world for seeing what he did.”

Rapper 50 Cent also took aim at Combs, questioning the sincerity of his apology and the timing of the video. He suggested that the public would see through Combs’ media strategy and not believe his apology.

“This is not going to work, who is advising him right now?” the rapper wrote on Instagram.

    “SMH bad move.”

“The lie detector test has determined this was a lie…. Maury vibes.”
