Adidas knocked it out of the park with one of its last Germany ensembles before the team’s surprise partnership with Nike begins in 2027. The retro layout has the potential to become an all-time classic if Germany can win it all on home soil.

You don’t have to understand what the squiggly pattern is to love Puma’s Austrian fit. Its simplicity makes it look so sharp. The round neck with white collar and trim add to its impressiveness.

Fans of 13th-century ceramic tilework are in for a treat. Nike’s recognition of the Azulejo pattern – a tiling design found throughout Spain and Portugal – works wonderfully on Portugal’s eye-catching away strip. It’s a top Nike clearly put a lot of thought into before it hands the reins over to Puma next year.

The word “masterpiece” gets thrown around a little too freely, but that’s what Adidas created here. While the same can’t be said for Scotland’s away apparel, get set to see a healthy dose of home kits when the Tartan Army takes over Germany.

Nike made up for an average England home shirt with this beauty for Gareth Southgate’s men. England’s away attire has traditionally been better than the home gear, and this year is no different as the Three Lions get set to sport this slick purple top with gold accents.

That foul smell? That’s Spain’s away kit because it stinks. Whoever signed off on this at Adidas ought to have a long, hard look in the mirror. Or just consider getting out of the business altogether. It didn’t have to be like this.
2. Scotland (Away)
Like Scotland’s appearance at Euro 2020, the country’s away outfit will be forgotten quickly. Fortunately, Steve Clarke’s men have a sharp home ensemble that should cover up the stench emanating from away merchandise that gathers dust on the store shelves.
3. Croatia (Home)
Croatia is so often showered with praise when the latest take on its famous checkered home tops is released. Not this year. What was once a thing of beauty is now a supersized eyesore. Was it so difficult to dress Luka Modric in something decent for what is likely his last major tournament?
4. Poland (Away)
Poland’s away attire proves that it sometimes doesn’t take much effort to construct a professional football uniform. With that in mind, it’d be interesting to see the versions that didn’t make the cut. Just looking at this is enough to put you to sleep.
5. Slovenia (home)
From the pattern of tiny diamonds to the mountain placed between the Nike swoosh and the crest, all sorts of things feel off about Slovenia’s home attire. Perhaps Nike should’ve just played it safe and gone with a toned-down design rather than similarly weird looks for both home and away kits.
6. Italy (Away)
Italy’s partnership with Adidas is off to a forgettable start. After the Azzurri’s 20-plus-year alliance with Puma came to an end last year, Adidas has struck out with an outlandish template for the Euros away outfit. The incorporation of the Italian colors is honorable, but the overall design and colorway look better suited for the training ground.
7. Slovakia (Away)
Slovakia’s outfit is so boring that you might’ve thought this list ended with Italy. Were Nike’s designers too busy with other projects that they slapped this ensemble together at the last minute? That’s the best explanation for this travesty.
