Caitlin Clark proves everyone is watching WNBA for her with incredible attendance for road game

While her on-court rivals have tried to use hard fouls to slow her down, one of her rivals from college, Angel Reese, drew criticism earlier this week for this quote: “The reason why we’re watching women’s basketball is not just because of one person. Washington Mystics sell out Wizards arena due to Caitlin Clark

If Friday night’s game between the Indiana Fever and Washington Mystics is any proof, the people are watching mainly for Clark.

Clark was able to sell out Capital One Arena, the home of the NBA’s Washington Wizards. The Mystics usually play at a much smaller venue, yet Clark visiting was enough to still sell out the extra seats. And this was a game between teams that came in with 2-9 (Fever) and 0-10 (Mystics) records.

The rookie did her part to entertain the fans, dropping a season-high 30 points on 53.3% shooting. She also contributed 8 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals to fill out the stat line.
