Top 10 High School Girls’ Soccer Programs in the Nation Right Now

For many soccer fans, high school soccer is a time of joy and growth. Let’s keep in mind that, unlike developmental academy clubs, scholastic and academic performance plays a significant role in high schoolers’ being allowed to step foot on the pitch. Without academic effort and dedication, girls’ high school soccer programs may not be where they are today. With that note, here we will be checking out some of the top ten girls’ high school soccer programs in the nation.

    American Heritage (Plantation, FL)

After recently securing the Florida State Championship in a 3-0 victory against Bishop Moore, the Patriots find themselves in the top spot. Just last year, they were nationally ranked at No. 4. With head coach Cindy Marcial, her success with American Heritage can be highlighted with the seven state championships she has helped bring to the program. The team concluded their state tournament play with nine straight victories.

    Santiago High School (Corona, CA)

As of late, the Santiago Sharks have gotten the attention of many youth soccer coaches. With their recent victories in the CIF Open Division matches, before falling to Santa Margarita in a 4-2 loss, the Sharks were on a three-game win streak. They continue to climb the ranks but had a few challenges with a game against Mater Dei on Tuesday, March 4, followed by a rematch against Santa Margarita.

Santa Margarita (Rancho Santa Margarita, CA)

Not only did the Santa Margarita girls rank fourth nationally, but they also displayed their dominance in their recent victory against Santiago. With the 4-2 win, the Eagles clinched the CIF Southern Section Open Division title. The squad has not lost a game since late January. Currently, the Eagles have an overall record of 18-1-2 and sit at the top spot in California rankings.

    Bartram Trail (St. Johns, FL)

Offensive domination best describes the style of play from the Bartram Trail squad. In their last 11 matches, the Bears have gone 10-1. What else speaks to the team’s utter domination? Well, within the 11 games, the team has recorded a staggering 44 goals. This incredible run the Bears are on proves their worth to either climb up the ranks or, at the very least, remain third in national and state rankings. Will the Bears continue their streak of domination? We’ll have to see how the final games of the winter schedule play out.

Ponte Vedra Sharks (Ponte Vedra, FL)

In the national and state’s second spot, we have the Ponte Vedra Sharks. The squad is currently on a seven-game winning streak. Their win against Lourdes Academy was no easy battle, but the Sharks pushed and ended as the Class 5A Tournament champions. With an overall record of 17-3-2, the Ponte Vedra Sharks are in a great position, but with the immense talent surrounding Florida’s girls’ soccer programs, no position is safe.

    Parkview Baptist (Baton Rouge, LA)

Although not nationally ranked in the top 10, Parkview Baptist is first for all Louisiana rankings. The Eagles recently clinched the Division 3 2025 Allstate Sugar Bowl/LHSAA Girls’ Soccer State Championship. While sustaining a 5-game winning streak, four out of those five matches were shut-out wins. Not only is the defensive strength on display, but in the five-game winning streak, the Eagles scored a total of 27 goals.

    Rocklin High School (Rocklin, CA)

This season, the Rocklin Thunder won the Division 2 2025 CIF Sac-Joaquin Section Girls Soccer tournament. The only program ranked ahead of Rocklin in the California rankings is Santa Margarita, which speaks to the elite talent and work ethic of the Rocklin program. Within the Thunder’s recent five-game winning streak, the team has scored 21 goals and secured shut-outs in all but 1 match.

    Northwest Rankin (Brandon, MS)

In all Mississippi rankings, the Cougars lead the way at #1. The team is no stranger to wins as they have sustained a 13-game winning streak. Within this streak, the team has only allowed three goals against them. On the other hand, the Cougars have also gotten the offensive aspect of the game done, with 16 of their season games being won by three or more goals.

St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale, FL)

Although recently falling short to Bartram Trail Bears in the state championship game, the Raiders remain ranked in the top 5 for all state rankings. Sophie Barnes, a sophomore, has been on a tear, tallying 23 goals this season. With the help of Barnes and her teammates, the Raiders obtained a 0.854 win percentage.

Somerset Academy – Canyons Cougars (Boynton Beach, FL)

Last but not least, Somerset Academy has displayed excellent efficiency this season. Winning the Class 3A tournament only emphasizes the skill and strength of the Cougars. Senior Isabella Guzman has had an outstanding senior year. She has collected 26 goals in 17 games played. With unwavering efforts from players such as Guzman, the Cougars have sustained a 19-2 record and a 0.905 win percentage.
