Griezmann hits back at Barcelona: “Is this photo too harsh?”

Antoine Griezmann had it in for Barcelona… and he got his own back as soon as Atletico sealed their place in the final of the Copa del Rey, sending the same message to the Catalan club that Barca sent through their networks after a Atletico-Barcelona match last season.

On that occasion, in March 2025, Barcelona uploaded a photo to its social networks in which Griezmann appeared and in the background the eleven Barca players forming a huddle. The club accompanied the publication with the following phrase: “This photo goes very hard”. The message came after Barcelona won 4-2 at the Metropolitano in a LaLiga match that Atletico began by winning 2-0.

On Tuesday, after Atletico booked their place in the Copa del Rey final after losing 3-0 at the Camp Nou, making the most of the 4-0 first-leg win, Griezmann got his own back on his former team with the same expression, using an image of the Frenchman celebrating and two Barcelona players lying on the pitch lamenting their elimination at the end of the match. “Does this photo go very hard?” he asked, accompanying the phrase with three emojis of faces covering their mouths.

    In a month, more Atletico-Barcelona

Griezmann had it saved… and he let it go. Atletico and Barcelona will face each other in a month’s time, on the weekend of April 4 and 5, in LaLiga. And be careful, because if both teams get through their Champions League ties against Tottenham and Newcastle, they would meet again home and away in the quarter-finals, with the first leg at the Camp Nou on April 7 or 8, and the return leg at the Metropolitano on April 14 or 15.

In other words, there will be at least one more Atletico-Barca clash… and there could be three in the next month and a half. Griezmann and Barca could have their revenge.
