After Mike Trout struck out to Shohei Ohtani in the final at-bat of the 2023 World Baseball Classic title game, Team USA begins their 2026 World Baseball Classic on Friday night against Brazil with their most stacked squad ever.
The Stars and Stripes are sending four players who have an MVP in their trophy cabinet, and four more who have been runners-up. Both the American League and National League reigning-Cy Young winners are also representing the Americans.
