The Cleveland Browns hired Monken to be their coach in February. He’s a first-time NFL head coach at 60, while the Browns have been one of the NFL’s most struggling franchises since returning to the league in 1999.
Reporters asked Monken on Wednesday about missing the traditional coaches’ group photo during the NFL’s annual owners meeting on March 31. A last-minute scheduling change moved the photo session earlier, and he wasn’t available.
Thanks for the submission!
“I really don’t give a sh*t,” Monken said.

“They moved the meeting. I didn’t miss it. I was just trying to get a sweet haircut. And was it disappointing? You bet your a*s it was disappointing. Am I allowed to be the head coach if I’m not in the head coach’s picture? But no, it’s the way it is. What will matter most is how we move from here and whether we win or not. Ultimately, none of that will matter”

“Winning changes everything”: Todd Monken sets the tone early in Cleveland

Todd Monken was also asked about his plans on changing the perception of the Browns around the league.
“Winning changes everything,” Monken said.
Monken told his players on Wednesday that the team is in “the development business and the winning business.”
“Anything that gets in the way of those two things has to be confronted and eliminated,” Monken said.
The franchise has seen plenty of off-field noise derail promising seasons in the past.
