    Gujarat Titans (GT) beat Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) by seven wickets in IPL 2026 on Sunday, April 12, at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. As a result, GT occupied the fifth position in the points table with four points from four games.

    GT captain Shubman Gill won the toss and opted to field in the contest. LSG managed to reach a respectable total of 164/8 in 20 overs after an average effort from their batting unit. Opener Aiden Markram top-scored for them with a knock of 30 (21). Prasidh Krishna starred for the Titans in the bowling department with a four-wicket haul.

    In reply, Jos Buttler (60) and Shubman Gill (56) hit brilliant half-centuries to take Gujarat to 165/3 in 18.4 overs and win the game comfortably. Washington Sundar chipped in with a cameo of 21 (13), finishing the game for his team.

    At the post-match presentation, GT skipper Shubman Gill reflected on the win, saying:

    “The way we bowled in the power play was impressive! And the bowling through the middle-overs was good too. When Rashid (Khan) gets us back in the game and bowls like only he can, it makes my life as captain a lot easier! I think in the 1st 6 overs, it’s difficult to do the simple things. But today, Siraj did that. Kept it simple.

    “But even KG (Kagiso Rabada) bowled well, his lengths were good. He was unlucky to get hit though. In the last 2 or 3 overs we gave away 10 to 15 runs more. But, at the start, we would have taken 160. Back-to-back fifties for Jos (Buttler) and me, means that we are doing okay,” Gill added.
