Major Update On Cody Rhodes Needing Time Away From WWE After Injury At WrestleMania Night 1 – Reports

Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes is injured following a very bad moment at WrestleMania Night 1. However, there is now an update on Rhodes’s injury and whether he will need to take time off.

Cody Rhodes has suffered an injury after WrestleMania Night 1, and there is an update during WWE RAW

Dave Meltzer has provided an update on Cody Rhodes following the injury he sustained at WrestleMania Night 1. For fans of the Undisputed WWE Champion, there is some good news as he has not sustained a concussion. The report also spoke about whether Cody will need time off after the injury.

Cody Rhodes’ injury was surrounding his left eye after WrestleMania Night 1. His eye was swollen badly and almost shut. Dave Meltzer reported that those in WWE did not clarify whether this happened during the brawl with Randy Orton, when one of the punches landed hard, the Cody Cutter into the RKO, or at any other moment.

Cody Rhodes was announced as being put in concussion protocol. As of this report, the star is still under the protocol, but it should be noted that the belief is that he has not sustained a concussion. It was said to be a precautionary measure thanks to the nature of the injuries that he had sustained. However, the report also said that as of now, he has not been fully evaluated for the left eye injury. There is no orbital bone fracture either, which would force WWE to make him sit out for quite a long time.

It is up in the air for now whether he will be able to wrestle at WWE Backlash, pending the eye injury evaluation.

With Rhodes likely not needing time off, it may still be some time before he wrestles, given that he is in concussion protocol. The star has already received a hint of a challenge from CM Punk tonight on RAW during his appearance on the red-branded show.

The star will likely also have to face Randy Orton, as the Viper seems far from done with him, hitting him with the punt kick after he lost at WrestleMania.
