The New York Yankees have been an up-and-down club to start the 2026 season, jumping out to an 8-2 start before losing seven of their next nine. After sweeping the Kansas City Royals, they’ll hope to keep their winning-ways as they head to Fenway Park for the season’s first series against the Boston Red Sox.
One key to that could be Aaron Judge finding some consistency at the plate. He does lead the Yankees with nine home runs already through 22 games, but after leading MLB with a .331 batting average last season, he’s hitting just .232 with an increased strikeout percentage and decreased walk rate.
The sample size is small and the Yankees shouldn’t have any concerns about their franchise cornerstone, but they’d love to see him get his bat on the ball more often against a Boston staff that’s posted the 10th-highest ERA and allowed the 14th-most hits so far this season.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. Judge is one of 20 hitters to reach both 50 home runs and bat above .300 in the same season. How many of those players can you name in five minutes?
Good luck!
