Galfer’s new Disc Shark EVO MTB brake rotor are the latest update to their finned designs, offering improved thermal management and better performance throughout extended descents.
The new rotors feature “topologically optimized” CNC-machined 7075-T6 aluminum carriers combined with increased mass (they’re 2.0mm thick), surface fins and perforations.

These design changes do two things – spread heat more evenly, and help dissipate it more quickly. Galfer says this dramatically reduces fade and maintains consistent performance across temperature ranges.

The rotors use 8mm hollow aluminum rivets with a semi-rigid (aka semi-floating) connection to balance force transfer with vibration damping. They’re compatible with existing MTB brake calipers and pad types, plus integrated E-bike sensor magnet, eliminating the need for modifications during installation.

Lastly, they’re also available with a new Kashima coating on the alloy carrier, so you can match your Fox bits. Alco available in black ano and raw. The rotors come in 180mm, 203mm, and 223mm diameters for 6-bolt mounting, with Center-lock versions coming this summer. Pricing ranges from €85-125. Weights from 169g to 225g.
