“Haven’t you put me through enough?” – Star sends a message to AEW on his birthday

A star recently received a birthday message from AEW. However, he didn’t show gratitude for the wish and started firing shots at the Jacksonville-based company. The star in question is none other than RJ City, who is an occasional on-screen interviewer for the company and a writer as well. The Tony Khan-led company recently wished RJ on his birthday via X, but he wasn’t happy with the wish.

RJ City signed with All Elite Wrestling back in 2023 as a writer and an on-screen interviewer. He also hosted the pre-show panels for AEW alongside Renee Paquette for its pay-per-views. He is famously known by fans for his role as the host of AEW’s YouTube series “Hey! (EW).” The company recently wished him on his 37th birthday by sharing a graphic of him on its X account. However, RJ actually clarified that this was the company’s way of humiliating him.

All Elite Wrestling has a ritual where it posts graphics featuring its newly signed stars with a picture of them announcing that they are All Elite. However, despite spending three years with the Jacksonville-based company, RJ City still hasn’t received his All Elite graphic. He responded to the birthday wish from the company’s X account by saying that he’s been cast adrift. He demanded that the company give him his All Elite graphic.

“Haven’t you put me through enough? I have been attacked, mocked, maligned, publicly and privately humiliated, belittled, beleaguered and cast adrift in an ocean that resents me. And yet, I continue to float. Flailing, drowning, gasping for my last breath – where is my graphic?” he wrote.

It will be interesting to see if RJ City will finally receive his All Elite graphic this year or not.

RJ City worked closely with AEW President Tony Khan to produce the story with Toni Storm and Mariah May

The yearlong rivalry between “Timeless” Toni Storm and Mariah May is one of the best storylines in the history of the Jacksonville-based company. The rivalry started when Toni Storm took Mariah May in as her prodigy. The two worked together and helped Storm reign as the AEW Women’s World Champion.

However, Mariah May turned on her mentor after winning the 2024 Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Cup. She attacked Toni with her heel and even hit her multiple times with the championship belt. May defeated Toni at All In London that year to win the Women’s World Championship. However, Toni won the title back from her, and the rivalry concluded at last year’s Revolution pay-per-view in a Hollywood Ending match.

RJ City was closely involved with Tony Khan in the writing process of the storyline and helped in producing it. This goes to show how great of a writer RJ is. Fans are excited to see the kind of stories he’ll write for the company this year.
