Top returning Big Ten quarterbacks heading into 2026 season

    The best is last.

This week, the Big Ten becomes the fourth and final power football conference to hold its annual media days, beginning Tuesday and running through Thursday in Chicago.

Last year, the conference claimed its third straight national title as the Indiana Hoosiers completed a stunning 16-0 regular season, led by quarterback Fernando Mendoza’s Heisman-winning campaign.

With Mendoza gone to the pros, below is our list of this year’s top five returning Big Ten quarterbacks.

A potential top-10 pick had he declared for the 2026 NFL Draft, Moore instead elected to return to Oregon for his redshirt junior season. Last year, when taking over for Dillon Gabriel, the former UCLA Bruin threw for 3,565 yards, 30 touchdowns and 10 interceptions while showing remarkable accuracy with a 71.8 completion percentage.

Moore was excellent at fitting balls into tight windows, including on seam routes such as the following 24-yard and 30-yard touchdowns to tight end Kenyon Sadiq.
