4 Things Roman Reigns Must Do To Prevent The Bloodline From Collapsing

Roman Reigns has found himself in a familiar position. The Tribal Chief has rebuilt The Bloodline around himself, The Usos, and Jacob Fatu. However, the latest developments suggest that the faction could once again be heading toward implosion.

The situation with Solo Sikoa has made matters even more complicated. Solo refused to fall back in line with Roman on this week’s RAW, making it clear that the relationship between the cousins remains anything but stable.

At the same time, Reigns’ relationship with Jacob Fatu appears to be deteriorating. With The Bloodline once again surrounded by tension, the OTC needs to change his approach if he wants to keep the family together.

That said, in this article, we look at four things the World Heavyweight Champion must do to prevent The Bloodline from collapsing.

#4. Stop trying to control everyone

Roman Reigns needs to understand that he cannot treat every member of The Bloodline like an extension of himself.

That approach worked during portions of his original Tribal Chief run because Reigns had positioned himself as the unquestioned leader. However, the current Bloodline is filled with individuals who have already demonstrated that they are willing to challenge his authority.

The Usos have their own history with Reigns. Jacob Fatu has repeatedly shown that he is not someone who can simply be ordered around. Also, Solo Sikoa has spent years developing his own identity outside Reigns’ shadow.

The incident on the latest episode of RAW highlighted the problem. Thus, if Reigns wants this version of The Bloodline to survive, he needs to become more of a leader and less of a dictator. Giving his family members some freedom could actually make the group stronger.

#3. Identify Solo Sikoa’s real motive

Roman Reigns cannot afford to ignore Solo Sikoa anymore. The latter has made his position increasingly clear. He does not want to return just as Reigns’ subordinate. His recent refusal to fall in line shows that there is something deeper driving his resistance.

The OTC therefore needs to figure out exactly what Solo wants. Is the latter trying to take control of The Bloodline? Does he genuinely believe Reigns has failed the family? Or does he simply want to establish himself without living under his cousin’s shadow? Those questions need answers.

The longer Roman Reigns treats Solo Sikoa’s rebellion as simple disobedience, the more dangerous the situation becomes. Solo has already shown that he can attract allies, with LA Knight and Royce Keys recently standing alongside him against The Bloodline.

Thus, if Reigns can understand Sikoa’s motivation, he might still find a way to neutralize the threat without another civil war.

#2. Repair his relationship with Jacob Fatu

Jacob Fatu might be the most important member of The Bloodline for Roman Reigns to keep close.

Fatu has already experienced both sides of his relationship with the Tribal Chief. Reigns previously defeated him at Backlash, after which Fatu launched a vicious attack on his cousin.

Yet the two eventually found a way to stand together again after their Tribal Combat at Clash in Italy, with Reigns even giving The Samoan Werewolf an Ula Fala. That history should tell the OTC that Fatu’s loyalty cannot be taken for granted.

Jacob Fatu is not simply another member of the faction. He has the physical presence and credibility to become a major threat if he turns against Roman Reigns. The recent tension between them makes repairing that relationship essential.

Instead of publicly criticizing Fatu, Reigns should speak to him privately and acknowledge his importance. If the Tribal Chief can convince Jacob that he is respected rather than controlled, he could potentially turn The Samoan Werewolf into his strongest ally.

#1. Roman Reigns should keep The Usos from choosing sides

The Usos could ultimately determine whether The Bloodline survives. Jimmy and Jey Uso have already experienced the consequences of being caught between family members. Their history with Reigns means they know exactly how destructive another Bloodline civil war could become.

Reigns recently made The Usos captains within the group, giving them an important leadership role. However, that also puts them in a difficult position if the conflict between Roman and Solo escalates.

The OTC therefore needs to make sure Jimmy and Jey never feel forced to choose between their cousin and brother. If The Usos side with Fatu, Solo, or even decide to walk away entirely, The Bloodline could lose the stability it desperately needs.

The Tribal Chief has already rebuilt The Bloodline once. Now, he needs to prove that he can actually keep it together. Roman Reigns’ greatest challenge may no longer be defeating his enemies. It could be convincing his own family that staying together is better than tearing each other apart.
