Packers slammed with more Josh Jacobs concerns ahead of Week 1

The Green Bay Packers may still not be in the clear with star running back Josh Jacobs.

The workhorse back returned to practice after sitting for a while with an injury, but he may still not take the field for the season opener, though not for a physical impediment.

According to ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter, there’s still a chance that he faces league discipline. He was arrested following an alleged domestic incident earlier in the offseason, and there’s still an ongoing investigation.

Josh Jacobs could still be suspended

“I think the Packers would like for them to wait for the process to play out,” Schefter said on EPSN Milwaukee. “I think the league is always trying to step in and be proactive rather than reactive. I don’t know what side will prevail. I do know that it is absolutely up for debate, and the league has looked into it. I don’t know where the league will come out. I will not be surprised if there is discipline by the time the season starts.”
