Kenny Omega has been absent from All Elite Wrestling since his loss at AEW All In 2026. In his last appearance, The Cleaner dropped his AEW World Championship to Will Ospreay in London. Fans are wondering when the veteran will make his return to the Jacksonville-based promotion.
Amid his absence from the world of professional wrestling, The Best Bout Machine made an appearance at Tokyo Game Show this weekend. Over the years, Omega has been heavily involved with games and movies. Despite being away from AEW, Kenny is actively making promotional appearances.
At Tokyo Game Show, the former AEW World Champion showed up on behalf of SEGA to promote their Stranger Than Heaven. He played it on stage to give fans a look at the game. Moreover, The Best Bout Machine even defeated the samurai boss to showcase his gaming skills live.
The veteran had several memorable moments during this gaming event in Japan. Besides, Kenny Omega was even involved in an interview with Hikaru Shida, where he revealed that he would be coming after the AEW World Championship down the line. With that said, it will be interesting to see how things will unfold for Omega from here on.
Kenny Omega says that his Will Ospreay match was destined to happen
Kenny Omega and Will Ospreay delivered an amazing showdown at the All In show in London last month. That match is being widely considered to be one of the best matches of the year. Recently, The Best Bout Machine talked about his clash with The Aerial Assassin at Wembley Stadium.
Speaking with Crunchyroll, The Cleaner said that his match was always destined to happen with Ospreay. Omega added that is why the two stars joined the same company and became the top guys at the same time. The former AEW World Champion highlighted that it all came together to give fans the conclusion of their rivalry at the biggest stage in the Jacksonville-based promotion.
“I mean, it’s always interesting when things are sort of destined to be, you find yourself intertwined with that person regardless of where you go. Your history always follows you if it’s meant to sort of be with you. And I think that whoever is in control, it’s certainly not me, but whoever’s out there and in control, they sort of made sure that my track and Ospreay’s track met up many times until we finally settled a winner on the grandest stage of them all,” said Omega.
