The Malaga Half Marathon continues to strengthen its position as one of Europe’s most promising half marathons. After breaking its participation record in 2026 with 12,000 entrants, the organizers have set an ambitious target for the edition on March 7, 2027: to surpass 14,000 runners.

An increasingly international race
One of the standout aspects of the current edition is the weight of foreign participation. The province of Málaga now exceeds 2,500 registered runners, clearly establishing itself as the main source of participants. After Málaga, Madrid appears, with more than 500 entrants, followed by the Andalusian cities of Granada, Córdoba, Seville, and Cádiz, all forming part of the top five. The national dimension is also reflected in a particularly symbolic fact: the race already features representation from the 50 Spanish provinces and the two autonomous cities, a reflection of its reach across the entire national territory.
Andalusia leads participation by a wide margin
Regionally, Andalusia surpasses 3,500 entrants, heading the rankings among the autonomous communities. Behind it come Madrid, Catalonia, Valencian Community, and Castilla-La Mancha, shaping a map of participation that covers every corner of the country.
