One word said it all.
“Yassssss,” Indiana Fever star Aliyah Boston screamed online after the announcement that her teammate and friend, Caitlin Clark, had been named an All-Star Game captain for the Eastern Conference.
The WNBA officially revealed that Clark will lead the East in the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game, set for July 19 in Indianapolis-marking the Fever phenom’s second All-Star nod in just her second season. The West will be captained by Minnesota Lynx standout Napheesa Collier.
“Captain CC,” the Fever declared on social media, celebrating the news alongside a wave of fan love and teammate support.
Boston and Clark are unstoppable
Boston and Clark, now in their second season together, continue to form one of the league’s most exciting young duos. The pair represented Indiana at last year’s All-Star Game, along with Kelsey Mitchell, and helped guide the Fever to a .500 record and a playoff appearance in Clark’s rookie campaign.
This season, Boston is putting up 15.9 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game, while Clark-despite missing the last two games with a groin injury-has dazzled with 18.2 points, 5.0 rebounds, and a league-leading 8.9 assists per game.
The spotlight will be on Clark
The game is scheduled for July 19 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Clark led the voting, followed by Collier, Boston, Las Vegas Aces star A’ja Wilson, and New York Liberty standout Breanna Stewart.
