Carolina Panthers have their WR1: sign Adam Thielen to 3-year contract

Adam Thielen is one of the greatest undrafted players the NFL has had. After 10 years on the Vikings, he was cut on March 10th, but the wide receiver has now found a home with the Carolina Panthers.

The Panthers have signed the 32 year-old playmaker to a three-year contract. Their offense is also starting to take shape, with the signing of Miles Sanders (RB) and Hayden Hurst (TE) in free agency. Not to mention the first pick overall pick of the 2023 NFL Draft.

Adam Thielen: two-time Pro Bowler becomes Carolina’s WR1

Thielen, who is a two-time Pro Bowl selection, immediately becomes the most experienced wide receiver on the Panthers roster. During his time with the Vikings, he caught 534 passes for 6,682 yards and 55 touchdowns in 135 games. Making him a prime candidate for WR1 status for the 2023 NFL season.

The Panthers recently also acquired NFL vet Andy Dalton for the QB room, but are expected to make a splash at quarterback with the number one pick they traded for with the Chicago Bears. Amongst capital given up in that trade was DJ Moore, who commanded the Carolina receiver corps for several seasons.
