    Pokemon GO Tour: Kalos – Global 2026 is around the corner, revisiting a generation many fans first explored years ago. This celebration mixes nostalgia with meaningful rewards, raids, and rare encounters.

    Casual players can jump in to benefit the free rewards, while others willing to pay real money have optional upgrades to expand the experience.

    From raid rotations to branching research paths, the weekend is packed with content. Here are five important things to know about Pokemon GO Tour: Kalos – Global 2026.


    Five things to look forward to in Pokemon GO Tour: Kalos – Global 2026

    1) It’s a free, two-day global event

    Pokemon GO Tour: Kalos – Global runs from February 28, 2026, at 10 am to March 1, 2026, at 6 pm local time. The event celebrates the Kalos region first introduced in Pokemon X and Pokemon Y. All players can participate without purchasing a ticket. During event hours everyone receives:

    • CP boosts for Mega-Evolved Pokemon
    • Half Egg Hatch Distance for Eggs put in Incubators during the event

    Additionally, from midnight to 11:59 pm local time on both days:

    • Up to six Special Trades
    • 50% reduced Stardust cost for trades

    A paid ticket is optional and unlocks additional bonuses and exclusive research content.

    2) Multiple Shiny Pokemon making their debut

    Shiny hunters have plenty to look forward to in Pokemon GO Tour: Kalos – Global. The following Pokemon will see their Shiny variants released globally during the event:

    • Diancie (via ticket-exclusive Masterwork Research)
    • Honedge (appearing in one-star raids)
    • Hawlucha (hatching from 10 km Eggs)
    • Klefki (hatching from 10 km Eggs)

    It should be noted, Ticket holders will have boosted Shiny odds throughout the event, though encounters are not guaranteed.

    Beyond the debuts, all players can expect increased Shiny chances for costumed Pikachu, Chespin, Fennekin, Froakie, and even Honedge in raids. Players hatching 2 km and 10 km Eggs will also benefit from the buffed Shiny rates.

    3) Choose between Xerneas and Yveltal in branching Research

    Pokemon GO Tour: Kalos – Global 2026 ticket owners must choose between two Special Research paths: X Version or Y Version. Selecting the X path eventually leads to an encounter with Xerneas featuring a Special Background inspired by Pokemon X. Choosing the Y path rewards an Yveltal with a Pokemon Y-themed Special Background.

    Your decision also results in which Unown form, X or Y, you encounter in Field Research tasks. The branching Special Research becomes available the moment the event begins.

    4) Mega Evolution Takes the Spotlight with Super Mega Raids

    Mega Evolution plays a major role during Pokemon GO Tour: Kalos – Global 2026. Mega Victreebel, Mega Malamar and Mega Dragonite will appear in a higher difficulty Super Mega Raids.

    Super Mega Raids will demand a well planned and coordinated team (eight players), each bringing a Mega-Evolved Pokemon to challenge these Super Mega Raid bosses.

    Schedule highlights:

    • February 28: Mega Victreebel and Mega Dragonite
    • March 1: Mega Malamar and Mega Dragonite

    Outside Super Mega Raids, standard Mega Raids rotate hourly and include a strong lineup such as Mega Charizard X, Mega Charizard Y, Mega Gardevoir, Mega Tyranitar, Mega Salamence, and more.

    5) Rotating Habitats, regional spawns, and Route bonuses

    Pokemon during Pokemon GO Tour: Kalos – Global 2026 will appear in three rotating habitats:

    • Central Village
    • Mountain Manor
    • Coastal Laboratory

    Each habitat runs twice daily, plus two hours where all habitats are combined.

    Routes receive special attention as well. Flabebe will appear more frequently, with regional flower colors:

    • Red Flower: Europe, Middle East, Africa
    • Blue Flower: Asia-Pacific
    • Yellow Flower: Americas

    All players have a chance to encounter rare White and Orange Flower variants regardless of region.

    Egg pools are refreshed for Pokemon GO Tour: Kalos – Global 2026:

    • 2 km Eggs: Larvitar, Bagon, Beldum, Gible
    • 5 km Eggs: Various Flower Flabebe forms
    • 10 km Eggs: Kangaskhan, Heracross, Hawlucha, Klefki

    As an added bonus, all these Pokemon have a chance to be a shiny variation.
