Golf analyst Brandel Chamblee slammed LIV Golf by sharing a Jon Rahm image. The Spanish golfer had a remarkable time playing this week at the Mexico City event.
A fan page, Eddie “Ice” Lowery, shared an image of Rahm holding a check in which the winning amount was mentioned as zero. Chamblee reshared the post on his Instagram account with a caption.
Thanks for the submission!
“He beat players who sacrificed their careers to play on a tour that was hotter cooked than eaten.”
This came amid the rumours of the LIV Golf shutdown. Last week on Wednesday, Monday Q Info shared a post on its X (formerly Twitter) account talking about the Saudi league’s future. They shared a post with a caption.
“Ive heard from multiple sources that a bombshell announcement on LIVs future is imminent. We don’t give out gambling advice but If your’re a prediction market type person I would bet the under of whatever they have posted.”
Amidst the rumours, LIV Golf concluded with its Mexico City event. At the LIV Golf Mexico City event, David Puig also had a good time on the greens. He settled with a score of 15-under in solo second place. Josele Ballester settled in solo third place, followed by Scott Vincent in first place.
Jon Rahm reflects on his win at the LIV Golf Mexico City event

Jon Rahm kick-started his outing at the LIV Golf Mexico event with an opening round of 65. He then carded a second round of 67.
The Spanish golfer maintained this good outing and then carded the third round of 67. He played the final round of 64 and settled with a score of 21-under, registering a win in the game.
He opened up about his win in the post-round press conference.
“I don’t quite know,” Rahm said. “I think a little bit of it is disbelief. I’ve performed poorly down the stretch on this course having a chance to win before, so it’s almost like I don’t let myself believe it. If you would have told me last week on Thursday afternoon that I’d be winning by a six-shot margin this week, I would not have believed you because of how bad I played. Hell of a an effort, and just what a Sunday.”
Meanwhile, Jon Rahm started the 2026 LIV Golf season in Riyadh. He was the runner-up at the event and then recorded another runner-up finish at the Adelaide event.
Rahm won the Hong Kong event this season after playing four rounds of 66, 62, 65, and 64. He was the runner-up at the South Africa event and settled in solo fifth in the Singapore event.
