Fan vote Top 5 for NASCAR All Star race released

NASCAR has released the All-Star Race fan vote top five names ahead of this weekend’s event at Dover Motor Speedway. But fans still have time to decide which driver will race for the $1 million prize in NASCAR’s exhibition race.

The fan vote gives one driver who has not qualified for the All-Star Race a chance to race in the final segment of the event. Fans can vote up to five times per day with each email address. Voting opened on April 13, and NASCAR confirmed on May 11 that the current top five vote-getters, listed in alphabetical order, are Alex Bowman, Chris Buescher, Noah Gragson, Ryan Preece, and Connor Zilisch.

NASCAR shared the latest top-5 standings of the fan vote for the All-Star race, writing:

“Time is winding down for the #AllStarRace Fan Vote, but you can still cast your ballot! Here are the current top five vote-getters in alphabetical order.”

The 2026 NASCAR Cup All-Star Race will take place on Sunday at Dover Motor Speedway. The race is set to start at 1 pm ET and will air on FS1, HBO Max, MRN Radio, and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.

Meanwhile, the fan voting will close at 9 am ET on Sunday, May 17.

Trackhouse Racing makes its case for NASCAR Cup rookie in All-Star fan vote

Trackhouse Racing backed their campaign for Connor Zilisch and shared a picture of the rookie with a baby on X.

“Plz vote for Connor he’s literally holding babies,” the team wrote.

Noah Gragson has won the NASCAR All-Star Fan Vote in each of the last three seasons. Front Row Motorsports joined the fun, writing:

    “Easy peasy lemon squezzy.”

This season’s All-Star Race moved from North Wilkesboro to Dover for the first time. NASCAR and Speedway Motorsports announced earlier this year that the exhibition race will feature 350 laps split into three segments of 75, 75, and 200 laps.

The format is different, too. Friday’s qualifying session includes a full-speed lap, then a Mechanix Wear Pit Crew Challenge stop with no fuel. That qualifying time sets the pit selection order for the race. There is no All-Star Open this year. Instead, qualifying sets the field for Segment 1, which runs 75 laps. Segment 2 is also 75 laps, and the lineup for that stage is inverted from the top 26 finishers from the first segment.

The final segment is 200 laps and features 26 drivers. That group includes 2025 and 2026 Cup Series race winners, full-time former Cup champions, the fan vote winner, and the rest of the field based on the lowest combined finishes from the first two segments.

Only one fan-vote winner has ever gone on to win the All-Star Race itself, with Kasey Kahne doing it in 2008.
