ExtraEmily claims her Twitch channel is being viewbotted following her return from hiatus after facing allegations

Popular internet personality Emily “ExtraEmily” has claimed that her Twitch channel was being viewbotted during her comeback livestream following a month-long hiatus after facing viewbotting allegations. For context, ExtraEmily garnered attention on April 16, 2026, when a video of her livestream went viral on social media, in which she appeared to show a Google Chrome tab displaying a website called ViewBot.ai.

This prompted netizens on X and Reddit to speculate that the OTK (One True King) member artificially inflated her Twitch viewership. Eventually, on April 21, 2026, Emily announced that she intended to take a break from livestreaming in the hopes of being “healed” from the controversy.

ExtraEmily returned to content creation on May 17, 2026. At one point, the 26-year-old noticed her live concurrent viewership and claimed that her channel was being viewbotted.

Expressing her annoyance at the situation, the Twitch streamer said:

“Hi, chat! Oh, my god, we’re back. Hello, everyone! Thank you for coming to the return stream. I have been gone for three weeks! Okay, also, by the way, someone is botting me here. Okay? Some person is botting me right now. So, we definitely do not have 40k [viewers]. I don’t know who’s doing it. So, that’s annoying. But, anyway, I’ll talk about what I did during my break and everything. So, yes, I don’t know who the heck is doing that.”

“I am so sick of the fixation that people have on Twitch around viewership” – Asmongold comments on ExtraEmily having over 47k live viewers during her comeback livestream

Twitch and Kick streamer Zack “Asmongold” has shared his thoughts on ExtraEmily’s comeback livestream, which amassed over 47k live viewers, saying that he was “so sick of the fixation that people have around viewership” on the Amazon-owned livestreaming platform.

    He elaborated:

“47k viewers. That’s a lot of viewers. I am so sick of the fixation that people have on Twitch around viewership. I am. I think it is so … cringe. It is so annoying. I wish that it was more like YouTube, where smaller channels and smaller content for a niche audience was appreciated and respected, in the same way that a MrBeast video is. But now, on Twitch, everything is based around viewer count. Everything is viewership. Everything is popularity. It’s exhausting! It is!”

ExtraEmily made headlines on April 6, 2026, when Felix “xQc” called her out for being “fake.”
