The Stanley Cup Western Conference Finals begin on Wednesday night, with the Vegas Golden Knights travelling to take on the Colorado Avalanche.
The Avalanche have lived up to their name so far in this postseason, averaging 4.1 goals-per-game and scoring a staggering nine in a Second Round game against the Wild. They’re also coming into the series more rested than the Knights, needing just nine games to rack up the eight wins required to reach the Conference Finals compared to Vegas’ 12.
Unsurprisingly, 2025-26 Maurice Richard Trophy-winner Nathan MacKinnon has led the way for the Avs. After an NHL-best 53 goals in the regular season, MacKinnon leads Colorado in both goals (7) and points (13) so far this postseason. While he was held without in the first three games of the run, he scored two to close out the Kings in the First Round and once in all six games against the Wild.
With fellow star Cale Makar missing Colorado’s final practice before the series begins, Avs fans would love to see MacKinnon’s scoring tear continue in Game 1.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. With 13 regular seasons under his belt, MacKinnon is tied for 11th on the NHL’s active goals leaderboard with 420. With that being said, can you name the active NHL players with at least 300 goals in their career?
Good luck!
