Bangladesh’s memorable victory over Pakistan in the Sylhet Test was filled with intensity, pressure moments and several talking points across five gripping days of cricket. While the hosts eventually scripted history with a 2-0 series sweep, one particular on-field exchange involving Mohammad Rizwan and the Bangladesh players quickly became one of the most discussed moments from the contest.
The incident unfolded during Pakistan’s difficult fourth-innings chase, with Rizwan trying to anchor the innings under immense pressure. What followed was a mix of competitive tension and light-hearted banter that instantly grabbed fans’ attention on social media.
Bangladesh players tease Mohammad Rizwan with viral Bollywood-style sledge
During Day 4 of the chase, Rizwan was batting cautiously as Pakistan attempted to survive in pursuit of a massive 437-run target. The Pakistan wicketkeeper-batter repeatedly halted play after noticing movement near the sightscreen, asking the umpires to intervene before resuming his innings.
The repeated interruptions appeared to frustrate Bangladesh wicketkeeper Litton Das and several close-in fielders, leading to a lively exchange in the middle. Stump microphones clearly captured Bangladesh players making humorous comments aimed at Rizwan’s animated reactions.
One of the players was heard saying, “Overacting ke 50 paise katenge.” Soon after, another voice added, “Abhi jagah pakki hai, isliye overacting kar raha hai,” while another remark joked that there was “no place for him in Bollywood.” The comments quickly went viral online, with fans linking the banter to the famous Bollywood comedy style often seen in movies like Hera Pheri.

Bangladesh completes historic 2-0 sweep over Pakistan
While the sledging incident grabbed attention, Bangladesh ultimately had the final say in the contest. The hosts defeated Pakistan by 78 runs in Sylhet to register their first-ever consecutive Test series wins over Pakistan and complete a historic 2-0 sweep. After posting 278 in the first innings, Bangladesh recovered brilliantly in the second innings through Mushfiqur Rahim’s superb 137 and Litton’s crucial 69, setting Pakistan a daunting 437-run target.
Pakistan fought hard in the chase, with Rizwan producing a valiant 94 while Shan Masood and Salman Agha also scored fighting half-centuries. Rizwan and Agha’s 134-run stand briefly threatened Bangladesh’s control over the match before Taijul Islam triggered the collapse with a sensational six-wicket haul. Bangladesh eventually bowled Pakistan out for 358 on the fifth morning, sealing one of the biggest Test series triumphs in their cricket history.
