Ally Sentnor has a new home in Los Angeles.
The U.S. women’s national team midfielder has been traded from the Kansas City Current to Angel City FC, the clubs officially announced on Friday, June 19. Sentnor featured for Kansas City for one year, being traded to the Current in August 2025.
Sentnor made 19 starts in 23 appearances for the Current, scoring two goals and providing two assists. She began her NWSL career with the Utah Royals, where she featured from 2024-25, starting all 34 regular-season appearances. She scored four goals and provided five assists during her time in Utah.
“I’m incredibly excited to join Angel City FC. What makes this club special is its commitment to excellence on the field and meaningful impact off it. The ambition, passion, and purpose throughout the organization are inspiring, and I’m eager to contribute in every way I can,” Sentnor said, via a press release. “Throughout my career, I’ve tried to approach every opportunity with more grit, more grace, and a commitment to doing more good, and I’m excited to bring that mindset to Angel City and the Los Angeles community. I’m looking forward to competing alongside this talented group, connecting with the club’s incredible supporters, and helping make a positive impact both on and off the field. I can’t wait to get started and experience the atmosphere at BMO Stadium.”
Sentnor is joining an Angel City side that recently fired its head coach, Alexander Straus, and sits in 12th place on the National Women’s Soccer League table with 13 points in 11 matches.
“This is an important moment for our team, and we are very excited to welcome Ally to Los Angeles. Ally is one of the world’s top young talents, has senior U.S. women’s national team experience, and has built up important minutes in the NWSL,” ACFC Sporting Director Mark Parsons said. “Ally is a dynamic and creative attacker who has the ability to create and score goals in different ways. She has a fantastic mindset to compete and grow each day, while bringing important teammate qualities to our culture.”
Angel City will host the Orlando Pride on Friday, July 3, when the summer break wraps up. She will return to Kansas City on Saturday, August 1, to face the Kansas City Current.
