“I’m getting my payback with interest” – Rungrawee targets an instant finish against George Jarvis to settle the score

Thai slugger Rungrawee “Legatron” Sitsongpeenong has spent every minute since his loss to George Jarvis waiting for this exact moment. With their rematch now locked in, he intends to deliver poetic justice in Bangkok’s Lumpinee Stadium on Friday.

He runs it back against “G-Unit” in the headline attraction of ONE Fight Night 44 on Prime Video, broadcasting live in U.S. primetime from Bangkok’s legendary Lumpinee Stadium.

Jarvis stopped Rungrawee in highlight-reel fashion during their first battle on the global stage, but the Thai veteran has clearly used every ounce of that disappointment as fuel for what comes next.

In a prefight interview with ONE Championship, “Legatron” laid out his entire blueprint.

“Ever since that loss, it’s been eating at me, and I’ve been waiting for the chance to run it back. I was so stoked when I found out I got the rematch,” he told the promotion, before revealing his plan to get his hand raised.

“The key to my victory this time is going to be the clinch work, mixed with my kicks and elbows. I’m going to show him my deep Muay Thai experience and well-rounded game. If the opening is there, I’m going for the finish instantly. I won’t let the opportunity slip away — I’m getting my payback with interest,” he added.

George Jarvis believes his aggression will be key against Rungrawee

Rungrawee may be aiming for the spectacular when these two collide in what should be another epic lightweight Muay Thai matchup in Bangkok this week.

However, Jarvis doesn’t plan to let the Thai fighter’s knockout power have the last say in their sequel.

In a separate interview with the promotion, the British striker provided a peek into his match-winning strategy:

“My work rate, my fitness — I don’t get tired. Sinsamut couldn’t keep up. Rungrawee couldn’t keep up. Mouhcine Chafi couldn’t keep up. So, yeah, I’m just gonna use that to my advantage. As soon as that bell goes, I’ll be in his face, and we’ll see if he can last.”
