On Friday, August 7 the Washington Spirit announced that forward Ashley Hatch been activated from maternity leave. Hatch, who welcomed a son earlier this year, will be available to play in Saturday night’s match for the first time since May 2025.
Hatch has been a key member of the Washington Spirit’s front line since 2018. In her eight years with the team, she’s made 140 appearances and scored 52 goals. Prior to her time with the Spirit, Hatch also played for the North Carolina Courage, the Australian side Melbourne City, and Brigham Young University. Hatch has also made 23 appearances for the US women’s national team and scored five goals at the international level.
