The FUGA Gran Trail Peñalara has opened registrations for the 2026 edition of the Cross Nocturno Navacerrada (CNN). Once again, it will be the event that kicks off the FUGA Gran Trail de Peñalara program, an event organized by the Real Sociedad Española de Alpinismo Peñalara. The start will be at 8:00 PM from Paseo de los Españoles in Navacerrada.
The course of 11 kilometers with 400 meters of positive elevation gain runs through the surroundings of the Dehesa de la Golondrina and the reservoir of the Madrid town of Navacerrada. The route blends mountain sections along paths and trails that are not particularly technical with urban areas, making it an ideal route for those who want to begin in mountain running or for those who enjoy fast races.
The CNN features two aid stations, one liquid at Km 6 (Dehesa La Golondrina) and another comprehensive at the finish line. The organizers will not provide cups at the aid stations, so each runner must carry their own cup to consume beverages. Hydration bottles or bladders may be refilled only and exclusively with water.
The race is open to all athletes aged 16 or older. Participants under 18 must present parental or legal guardian authorization to participate.
There will be two registration price windows (from June 1 to 30 and from July 1 to September 15). The fee will vary depending on whether you are mountain federation-licensed or not.
All CNN participants will receive an official FUGA T-shirt and a tubular neck gaiter.
