Exclusive: Tottenham launch hijack to sign London rival player after Savinho and Marmoush

It’s the week of attacking stars as far as Tottenham Hotspur are concerned. They’ve already agreed a deal worth £85m to sign Savinho from Manchester City and are set to follow that up with the addition of Omar Marmoush – another Etihad star.

The duo may be surplus to requirements at Man City, but they will be star players in North London. A deal for the latter is reportedly expected to be completed in the coming days and he has already agreed personal terms with Tottenham.

Savinho, meanwhile, is just awaiting formalities before officially becoming a Tottenham player. He’s been a long-term target, so ENIC will take great satisfaction in finally getting his arrival over the line.

Things could still get even better, however. Alongside Marmoush and Savinho, Spurs also have their eye on more attacking talent. Roberto De Zerbi is seemingly laser-focused on rebuilding Spurs’ frontline just as he did with their midfield and backline earlier this summer.

Next on the list could be Nicolas Jackson. The Chelsea man looks to be heading for the exit door and those in North London could yet complete a major hijack on Aston Villa.

Reports earlier this week revealed that Aston Villa are set to launch a move to sign Jackson from Chelsea amid an ongoing battle to keep Ollie Watkins. The Midlands club were forced to turn another offer down for the forward from Al-Hilal, who this time bid as much as £45m.

Unai Emery didn’t exactly keep his cards close to his chest when asked about the situation, however, admitting that a sale is possible if a replacement is lined up. That replacement looks likely to be Jackson, but Spurs could still have their say.

Football FanCast understands that Tottenham have now launched their move to sign Jackson ahead of Aston Villa. The Lilywhites are in direct contact with Chelsea as they look to understand the conditions of a deal before spending big yet again.

As things stand, the Blues value their striker at a hefty £65m, which would take Spurs’ spending for the summer to around £400m if other deals also take place.

Any deal will have to accelerate quickly, however, given that there is just over a week remaining until the transfer window slams shut. Having already made contact, though, Spurs are certainly ones to watch in the race to sign Jackson.
