    The Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) 2026 concluded on Friday, August 28, with VIDA Kovai Kings clinching the title after defeating Madurai Panthers in the summit clash. The game was played at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

    Opting to bat first, the Kovai Kings posted 182/7, with C Andre Siddarth emerging as their top scorer with 82 off 47 balls, including seven fours and five sixes. For Madurai, P Saravanan was the standout bowler, returning figures of 4/30 in his four-over spell.

    In response, the Madurai Panthers struggled to get going and were bowled out for 98 in 14.2 overs. They suffered a heavy 84-run defeat as the Kovai Kings were crowned TNPL champions.

    With the Tamil Nadu Premier League 2026 coming to an end, several players stood out with their performances throughout the tournament. On that note, here is our Team of the Tournament.

    Top order: Tushar Raheja, Narayan Jagadeesan (c/wk), Balasubramaniam Sachin

    Meanwhile, Narayan Jagadeesan led the Chepauk Super Gillies. While the side failed to qualify for the playoffs, the right-hander enjoyed a decent individual campaign, scoring 323 runs in seven matches at an average of 53.83 and a strike rate of 163.13. He hit three fifties, with his best score being an unbeaten 90.

    At No. 3 comes Balasubramaniam Sachin, who featured for the champions, VIDA Kovai Kings, and emerged as the leading run-scorer of the Tamil Nadu Premier League 2026. The 22-year-old scored 428 runs in nine innings at an average of 53.50 and a strike rate of 160.90, including three fifties and a top score of 84.

    Middle order: K Rajkumar, U Mukilesh, C Andre Siddarth, Ramsingh Sanjay Yadav

    Representing Trichy Grand Cholas, K Rajkumar enjoyed a decent tournament. The southpaw featured in nine games and scored 283 runs at an average of 40.42 and a strike rate of 136.71. He registered two fifties, with a best score of 71.

    At No. 5 comes U Mukilesh, who featured for Nellai Royal Kings in TNPL 2026. The 27-year-old played seven games and amassed 216 runs at an average of 43.20 and a strike rate of 128.57, including one fifty.

    Next up is C Andre Siddarth, who won the Player of the Match award in the final of the Tamil Nadu Premier League 2026. The VIDA Kovai Kings youngster played eight games during the tournament and scored 250 runs at an average of 35.71 and a strike rate of 171.23. He registered two half-centuries, with a best score of an unbeaten 87.

    Meanwhile, Ramsingh Sanjay Yadav impressed with his all-round performances for Trichy Grand Cholas. The 31-year-old scored 149 runs in six innings at an average of 37.25 and a strike rate of 127.35, including one fifty. He also claimed seven wickets in six innings at an average of 19.85, a strike rate of 14.57, and an economy rate of 8.17.

    VIDA Kovai Kings bowler K Deeban Lingesh emerged as the leading wicket-taker in the Tamil Nadu Premier League 2026. The 26-year-old played nine games and claimed 17 wickets at an average of 12.23, a strike rate of 9.23, and an economy rate of 7.94. His best figures were 3/14.

    Next up is K Easwaran, who featured for Trichy Grand Cholas. The right-arm pacer appeared in seven games and picked up 15 wickets at a bowling average of 13.73, a strike rate of 10.00, and an economy rate of 8.24.

    Left-arm spinner Manimaran Siddharth also enjoyed a brilliant Tamil Nadu Premier League 2026 campaign while representing VIDA Kovai Kings. The 28-year-old finished as the second-highest wicket-taker, claiming 16 wickets in 10 innings at an average of 10.81, a strike rate of 12.75, and an impressive economy rate of 5.08, with a best of 4/11.
