Former three-sport ONE World Champion Stamp Fairtex has reflected on her split-decision win over Cynthia Flores at The Inner Circle 20 in June.
The result was a victory on the scorecards, but what Stamp saw in the mirror afterward was something else. Her own standards had not been met, and the reaction from fans who noticed said exactly what she was already thinking.
She told ONE Championship in a candid interview:
“My last fight was bad. That was the most disappointed I’ve ever been with myself after a fight. I saw some comments saying Stamp doesn’t have that killer instinct anymore, and I think there was a little truth to that because I didn’t feel very fresh.”

The Fairtex Training Center star continued:
“I also read some of the comments, and I thought, ‘Okay, I’ll take that and use it to improve for my next fight.’ But the result didn’t affect me to the point where I thought, ‘Oh, was it really that bad?’ The judges clearly saw that I was the winner, so that means I won.”
With that accountability locked in, Stamp now channels it directly into ONE Fight Night 47 on September 4.
This Friday, she faces two-time WBC Muay Thai world champion Selina “Teep Queen” Flores in atomweight Muay Thai action at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok.
Stamp Fairtex admits fear of re-injury held her back against Cynthia Flores
The performance against Cynthia Flores was not just a matter of poor preparation.
Something deeper was working against Stamp inside the ring, a hesitation rooted in everything she went through during her injury layoff that no training camp had fully resolved.
“Looking back at that fight, I must say I felt like I wanted to become the old Stamp again,” she told ONE.
“I tried to push myself, but there was still a little voice saying, ‘What if I get hurt again?’ So part of me thought I should play it safe and fight smarter.”
