Aion 2 releases globally on October 5, but the release time for its Advanced Access servers is less than a day away now. The price of admission to get on these early-start servers is a $25 Founders Pack for an otherwise free-to-play MMORPG. However, Aion 2 will make some attempts to integrate these servers into the main release, similar to Throne and Liberty’s global launch.
Expectedly, only a fraction of the player base would go for a Founder’s purchase for less than a week of head start. If you are excited to get back into Aion after years, and end up getting access, here’s when you’ll get to play.
What time will Aion 2 Advanced Access servers go live in your region?
Aion 2 Advanced Access servers will go live at 6:00 am PDT (1:00 pm UTC) on September 30, 2026. This means an afternoon release in Europe, which happens to be the region with the most servers. Meanwhile, those in Asia who want to try out the global client will have to wait well into the evening.
Access to all regional server realms will open concurrently. Here’s what time Founders pack owners will get to play Aion 2 in various local times:
- United States and South America: 6 am PDT / 7 am MDT / 8 am CDT / 9 am EDT / 10 am BRT (September 30)
- Europe: 1 pm GMT / 1 pm UTC / 2 pm BST / 3 pm CEST / 4 pm EEST (September 30)
- Africa: 3 pm SAST (September 30)
- Asia: 4 pm MSK / 5 pm GST / 6:30 pm IST / 9 pm PHT / 9 pm CST Beijing Time / 10 pm JST/KST (September 30)
- Oceania: 11 pm AEST (September 30) / 2 am NZDT (October 1)

While Aion 2’s website also lists an “end time”, these servers will stay up in perpetuity once live (until server merges eventually happen, but that’s very far into the future).
Can you preload Aion 2 before the Advanced Access servers go live?
Yes, preloads are already open. Even if you haven’t made up your mind about buying a Founders pack for Aion 2 Advanced Access, you can pre-download the game via Steam or the proprietary Purple launcher right now.
Will Advanced Access servers remain exclusive to founders?
Only Founder pack purchasers can play Aion 2 in the 5-day head start period. However, the servers themselves will not be closed to global launch players from October 5. Provided it hasn’t hit its server population limit, non-Founders can create characters in these servers without any restrictions.
How to get founder access?
The 5-day head start on these servers is only available to founders, and for that, you need to buy one of the three Founder bundles. All of these automatically unlock access on your Steam or linked Purple account, and additionally grant one month of subscription (Kina to Quna conversion):
- Standard Founder’s Pack: $24.99
- Deluxe Founder’s Pack: $49.99
- Ultimate Founder’s Pack: $99.99
You also get some in-game material bundles with each of these, with higher yields for higher-tier Founder bundles. That said, all the other extras are cosmetic-only, so $24.99 offers the highest value if you only want to play in Aion 2 Advanced Access servers early.
How many Advanced Access servers will Aion 2 have?
Aion 2 has disclosed plans for 20 Advanced Access servers at the time of writing (about a day before launch), 10 dedicated each to the Elyos and Asmodian factions.
As the global release is mainly targeting Western players, there’s only one Asia server planned per faction. Here are all the ones revealed so far:
For all PvP matchmaking, all Elyos servers will only be paired with their Asmodian counterpart as listed in the table. More importantly, the cross-server Auction House will not be available during the 5-day head start in these Aion 2 servers.
That basically means each realm and server will have its own closed economy for this early phase of the Advanced Access server launch.
