The 2026-27 NHL campaign officially gets underway on Tuesday, with the reigning Stanley Cup Champion Carolina Hurricanes hosting the winner of the previous two Cups in the Florida Panthers.
Hurricanes Captain Jordan Stall is back in Raleigh after winning his first Conn Smythe Trophy at 37 years old and setting a record for the most seasons between Stanley Cup titles. Stall reached the 20-goal milestone for the first time since 2015-16 and exploded offensively in the Stanley Cup Finals against the Vegas Golden Knights. He scored six goals in the first five games of the series and finished the Stanley Cup Playoffs with seven of his 12 postseason points coming against Vegas.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. Stall is entering his 15th season with the Hurricanes and his eighth as head coach Rod Brind’Amour’s captain. With that being said, can you name every player named an NHL team captain for the 2026-27 season?
