    “She stood out like a sore thumb” – Becky Lynch’s former boyfriend gets 100% real

    Becky Lynch is arguably one of the greatest women’s wrestlers of her generation, but one man saw immense potential in her before she became a household name in the industry.

    During the 2000s, Finn Balor and Becky Lynch were a couple when Lynch trained at Balor’s wrestling club in Ireland. The two have addressed their past relationship, and Big Time Becks, in her biography, Becky Lynch: The Man: Not Your Average Average Girl, explained how they started dating and why they eventually broke up.

    Regardless, they’re working for the same company and are often seen promoting upcoming shows together. Speaking on Cheap Heat, Balor gave his honest opinion of the multi-time women’s champion and said he always saw potential in her, which is why she stood out like a sore thumb, even amongst the guys at his club.

    “I remember we had a small wrestling gym. And I say it was a wrestling gym. It was a wrestling club set up in a local school hall with a bunch of mats and there was probably about 30 guys wrestling there and one girl, and that was Becky. And I remember from the day she walked in, she kind of captivated everyone’s attention. She stood out like a sore thumb with regards, like, to her potential or what her ceiling could be,” Balor said.

    He added:

    “I think everyone kind of felt that she had something about her that not many others had. And she’s a credit to herself and to the wrestling gym and the wrestling community of how far she’s come,” Balor said. [H/T – TJR Wrestling]

    What’s next for Becky Lynch on WWE RAW?

    Last month, Becky Lynch returned to WWE RAW following SummerSlam in Minnesota and immediately entered the main event scene. The Man wants championship gold around her waist and assisted Stephanie Vaquer to win the title from Liv Morgan.

    On the recent edition of Monday Night RAW, it was revealed that Lynch will face Morgan in a singles match next week. The winner will face La Primera at Money in the Bank 2026 in New Orleans for the Women’s World Championship. It’ll be interesting to see if Big Time Becks can earn a title match.
