Dana White seems open to the idea of holding a TUF (The Ultimate Fighter) season with Paddy Pimblett and Ilia Topuria as the coaches.

Pimblett initially floated the idea, and claimed he would easily beat Topuria. The British star has made Topuria his prime target, and wants to face him as soon as possible.

White was asked about this TUF season taking place during the post-UFC 332 press conference, and he was keen on possibly setting it up:

“I love the idea, but a lot of things to determine how things play out, not just for like The Ultimate Fighter but for certain fights, title fights and all. We will see how the timing plays out but that would definitely be a good one.”

Pimblett has wanted a piece of Topuria ever since ‘El Matador’ became the lightweight champion. The British star lost to Justin Gaethje, and then ‘The Highlight‘ beat Topuria to take away the title.

However, Gaethje isn’t keen on handing Topuria a rematch. Pimblett, on the other hand, beat Benoit Saint Denis in his next outing, and wants to quickly get back into the octagon.

Paddy Pimblett seeks inspiration from Conor McGregor

Conor McGregor remains one of the biggest names in the UFC, and Paddy Pimblett wants to repeat one of the Irishman’s greatest wins.

McGregor built an incredible rivalry with Jose Aldo, and the pair traded barbs before their fight. Pimblett was speaking to Kalos MMA about his fight against Topuria:

“I have no fight booked at the minute, but I’d love to fight Ilia Topuria. I’ll beat him that badly and send him down to featherweight. I think me and Ilia would have a brilliant season of The Ultimate Fighter because I’d get under his skin so much that, when we commence the fight, I’d beat him just as McGregor beat Aldo… It’ll be a brilliant press conference. As I said, The Ultimate Fighter will be a very entertaining six weeks to say the least, if it was me and him.”

McGregor won his fight against Aldo in just 13 seconds at UFC 194, and became the featherweight champion.
